Tripura Government Museum
Built in 1970, the Tripura Government Museum is one of the best tourist attractions, adequately prepared for visitors from different countries. The museum is located in Ujiayanta Palace. It houses halls of about 76 galleries. The total number of exhibits presented by the authorities to visitors is about 1406, and includes gold, silver and bronze coins, bronze statues, frescoes, terracotta boards, stone inscriptions, copper plates, textiles and jewelry. The main purpose of the museum is to protect and present the history of nature and man in northeastern India
