National Cartoon Museum and Art Gallery
The National Cartoon Museum and Art Gallery which is a tribute to the cartoonist Shankar is a good initiative by the Kerala Government.The National Cartoon Museum and Art Gallery, created in memory of the doyens of Indian political cartoon K. Shankar Pillay in his hometown, was opened to visitors.The memorial was inaugurated by Chief Minister Ummen Chandi at a ceremony Thursday night, attended by, among others, members of the Shankara family.Shankar's collection of cartoons, as well as the pictorial materials and tools he used, were donated to the museum by members of his family at the service.
