Vasilisa Palyanina

Vasilisa Palyanina is a modern Belarusian artist, illustrator, author of the book Kupalie.
She was born in 1986 in Minsk. In 2009 she graduated from the Belarusian State University on speciality ‘’Design’’. Then she spent two years in Weimar (Germany), where she trained in the studio of the artist Walter Sachs. In 2017, she became a participant in the Residence of Young Writers held in Vilnius. And in 2019 she received a scholarship in the ''Gaude Polonia'' program, organized in Warsaw. Now the artist lives and works in Minsk.
Experimenting with techniques and trends in art, Vasilisa Polyanina is in search of a connection between the animal and the sexual, is interested in the origins of human.
