Musee Romain / Site
Aventicum, capital of the City of the Helvetian, whose territory covered most of the Swiss Plateau, counted in the third century AD. Around 20,000 inhabitants. Remains of several monuments are visible: an amphitheater with 16,000 seats, a theater that could once accommodate nearly 9,000 spectators, temples, thermal baths and a wall of 5.5 km, punctuated by 73 towers, only one of which is kept today.
