Bandirma Ferry Museum
This ship, which plays an important role in the establishment of the Republic of Turkey, held in Glasgow in 1878, the ship was carrying cargo for many years with Kym name. The sinking ship was re-floated in the same year on December 12, 1891. The ship, which was transported to the Administration in 1894, which means the Seaways Administration at that time, started to carry cargo and passengers in the Ottoman seas as "Panderma" since that date. On October 28, 1910, when the name of the Administration became "Ottoman Navigation Administration" (Ottoman Maritime Administration), the name of the ship was changed to "Bandırma" and it became a postal ferry. Once brought on 19 May 1919 in Samsun Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and his comrades in arms again and continued to postal services in 1924, "Turkey Seyrüsefa the Administration" has been left out by the service. The ship, which was sold to İlhami Söke in 1925, was dismantled by the same person in Haliç within 4 months. It was converted into a museum by the Metropolitan Municipality of Samsun, which took over the right to operate and operate the Bandırma Ferry on February 7, 2005, and was opened to visitors on May 19, 2006.
