The Nenapu Museum was established to preserve the legacy of Mysore State Bank, which merged with the State Bank of India in 2017. The museum is housed in a historic stone building, a combination of Indian and colonial architecture, with semicircular arched windows, arched roofs, high ceilings and exquisite bracket details. The museum has eight rooms, which store a rich collection of historical records and original documents that highlight the importance of this century-old banking institution in Karnataka. It traces the origin and historical development of the bank.Another section contains a collection of trophies, medals and shields won by bank officials during various events, and demonstrates the achievements of bank executives. One of the main attractions of the museum is the room, which shows the history of paper notes and coinage in India, as well as the evolution of banking in Karnataka.
