Bubungan dua belas

Bubungan dua belas or House of Twelve Roofs is located in Jalan Residency, at the foot of Bukit Subok Forest Reserve Recreational Park and about one mile from south of the center of Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei.

One of the must visit places in Brunei Darussalam is Bubungan Dua Belas which literary means the building with twelve roofs. It is one of the oldest surviving buildings in Brunei Darussalam. Bubungan Dua Belas is not only the oldest building in Brunei but also very rare example of wooden architecture.

Bubungan Dua Belas stands on the hillside of Bukit Residency on the Brunei River. It lies 3 km south of Bandar Seri Begawan. It is strategically located and offered an open serena and airy location with a full view of Brunei River and its famous Kampung Ayer.
