Carnival Museum
Located in the historic center of Montevideo, the Carnival Museum opened its doors in November 2006. It is an institution that preserves, exhibits, disseminates and values the objects and traditions that are part of the maximum popular festival in Uruguay.
Since its inauguration, it meets people on the streets, constantly carrying out activities both in the Montevideo neighborhoods and in cities in the interior of the country. Make daily guided tours for groups of schoolchildren and high schools, as well as educational workshops at different levels. It receives tourists from all over the world, mainly from Mercosur, and a multitude of local visitors seeking to discover the party from another place.
