Kangra Art Museum is a fascinating museum with artifacts of Tibetan and Buddhist cultures. Opened in 1990, the museum has preserved a treasure trove of the cultural past of the Kangra Valley, crafts, arts and other ancient artifacts, including miniature paintings, temple carvings, fabrics and embroidery, weapons and palanquins belonging to local royalty.Rare pottery, coins, monuments, sculptures and anthropological materials are collected here. Here are the decorations of different tribes, embroidered costumes and wood carvings. Some items on display in the museum date back to the 5th century. The section in the museum is also dedicated to contemporary artists and photographers.
