Emil Frey Classics - Classic Car Museum
For anyone whose heart races at the sight of classic cars, it’s well worth a trip to the Emil Frey Classic Car Museum in Safenwil. More than 50 treasures from the Emil Frey collection are on permanent display in a fully renovated 19th-century textile factory, making for a one-of-a-kind exhibition that stretches covers 1,500 m2. The car enthusiasts of Emil Frey AG, founded in 1924, had the foresight to begin collecting historically significant models in the name of cultural preservation. Today, the renowned collection centres on gleaming models mainly from England and Japan, spanning the post-War years up through the 1980s. Favoured by both collectors and aficionados, the exhibition includes design icons, specialities, rarities and modern classics, such as the Jaguar E-Type, Triumph Dolomite Sprint, Aston Martin DBS Mark III and Toyota Celica GT4 Turbo. What dreams are made of... The museum is the ideal destination for car buffs, families, groups and classes who would like to learn more about the most celebrated designs, technology and car makes from the past 60 years.
