Christian Flierl - LETZTE METER

The coast of Liguria is mostly steeply sloping, pebbles characterise the beaches. On the Lido of Genoa, one beach resort follows another in many small bays, and at the same time the area is strongly segmented by an urban motorway. Naturally, this coastline and its buildings are subject to strong changes. They are constantly renovated or adapted because of the strong weather and changing needs. The resulting layers overlap to form their current appearance.

CHRISTIAN FLIERL (*1974)
After completing a degree in biology in 2001, Christian Flierl trained in photography at the Media Training Centre (MAZ) in Lucerne. He has been working as a professional photographer for newspapers, magazines, books and companies since 2001. Christian Flierl realises his own book and exhibition projects and accompanies photographic projects by other photographers as part of the exhibition space "BelleVue". He is a member of the photographer agency 13photo and teaches photography at the Schule für Gestaltung, Basel.
