The museum complex includes: - Memorial house of Yuri Gagarin's childhood years. Located in Klushino village. The house interior represents a typical housing of a peasant of 1930-s. - Memorial house of Yuri Gagarin's school years. This is the place where the future cosmonaut lived from 1945 to 1949 when he was a schoolboy. - Memorial house of Yuri Gagarin's parents. This building was a present to the parents of the first cosmonaut by the government of the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic in 1961. - The house of cosmonauts. It was built in 1983. Currently it houses the following events: "A word about a son" - a historical&bibliographical exhibition and "The games of Yury Gagarin" - a children's museum. - The Museum of the First Flight. It was opened in 2011. The base of the exhibition is space equipment that is directly related to the first space flight with a human onboard. - The Picture Gallery. The gallery exhibits art objects dedicated to space. - The Museum of Local Lore and History. The exhibitions include several sections of Gzhatsk (former name of Gagarin town) land from the ancient times to the present day.
