GALERIE KRIENS

The Kriens Gallery organises changing exhibitions of professional contemporary artists (painting, graphics, object art, photography, video, installation) with a focus on contemporary art in Central Switzerland. It is part of the Schappe Kulturquadrat in Kriens.
Tobi von Wartburg will head the Kriens Gallery from 2023, succeeding Stephan Wittmer. He completed the MAS Cultural Management at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts in 2005. While still a student, he designed and managed the art space IL QUADRO in Hochdorf. In the years that followed, he was involved in various cultural and art projects in Central Switzerland on a part-time basis (including Kultur i de Braui Hochdorf, Design Biennale Lucerne, Zauberlaterne Lucerne, Bookparade Lucerne, Verein Neustadt Lucerne, Kunsthoch Lucerne), cultivated his contacts with artists as a collector and later as director of theQ Lucerne gallery. Today he organises guided tours at the Swiss Museum of Transport and is responsible for internal training there.
As curator of the Kriens Gallery, Tobi von Wartburg would like to create a space for amazement and reflection with the artists, which enables encounters, offers exchange and inspiration, stimulates discussion or invites people to enjoy.
