Galerie Peter Kilchmann
Contemporary art gallery in a 1940s building, with a focus on Swiss & Latin American artists.
Galerie Peter Kilchmann was founded in 1992 in Zurich, Switzerland. The gallery is currently located in a building from the 1940’s in the west part of the city and is in walking distance from major museums and galleries.
The gallery is internationally active and has three main focuses: Latin America, sociopolitical engaged art and painting. For our Latin American artists we put our efforts on promoting and placing institutional exhibitions. By representing major artists from this region since 2000, long before other European and North American galleries, the gallery has played a role in the establishment of the importance of the region.
Furthermore, as a Swiss gallery, we believe that to promote Swiss artists internationally should be another central task. We mediate and place their works in major institutions and collections.
The gallery strives to foster and promote artists from peripheral parts of the world, who work with sociopolitical work.
