Miguel Mujica Gallo (1910-2001) began his collection at a very young age, being his fondness for hunting and his great admiration for the pre-Hispanic world that led him to acquire a variety of ancient weapons, among which is the Tumi, ceremonial knife of the Lambayeque culture (currently emblem of our Foundation). Later, he created the Foundation that bears his name and that manages the Gold Museums of Peru and Arms of the World.
The "Gold Museum of Peru" houses in its facilities more than 8,000 pieces of metal (gold, silver, copper) pre-Hispanic. The "Arms Museum of the World", exhibits more than 20,000 weapons from around the world and from different eras.
