Railway Museum is located opposite to the Park road of Gorakhpur. The museum also houses a big crane, a steam engine and a road roller- not the ordinary ones, the ones used in olden times. That’s not all, the main attraction of this museum is the Lord Lawrence Steam Engine. It was built in 1874 in London. Further down the museum lane you can spot a beautiful children’s park (told you they won’t be bored) with see- saws and other small rides. Human size statues of a Porter, a Nurse and a Signalman form apt backgrounds for pictures. The museum comprises of many small galleries, each about a different section. Some sections display information like history and advancement of railways, while others showcase trophies won by the NE Railways.
