House-museum of Benito Juarez
The house, which now houses the museum, was originally owned by the novice monastic order Franciscan, Antonio Salanueva bookbinder. The building embodies the typical features of the colonial buildings of the time. This is a nice cozy house with two patios. Ten years - from 1818 to 1828 - there had Benito Juarez, the most famous and loved by the people the President of Mexico. We can say that in this house Juarez began climbing the corporate ladder: Salanueva attended the future policy and helped him start to get an education. In 1906, in the centenary year of Juarez, the state bought the house to turn it into a collection of objects ever belonged to Juarez. Since 1933, the building functions as a museum. Despite the fact that the exposition includes things that characterize the only one historical person, their selection and interaction characterize the era, and the course of historical events in Mexico. In the late 20th century, the museum was closed for renovation, but in 1996 again operates in normal mode.
