In 2002 the Inkariy Museum project was conceived, thanks to the initiative of a group of artists and archaeologists who decided to show the world the impressive manifestations of the most important cultures of pre-Hispanic Peru, through a modern and easy language. reading.
The project's main objective is to rescue and enhance our history, emphasizing the human factor of pre-Hispanic societies, filling a gap in the memory of Peruvians, about our ancestors.
With this project we intend, in addition to completing the vision of our past, to show that Peru is a country of diverse cultures, since it not only includes the splendid Inca Empire, but also includes Caral, Chavín, Paracas, Moche, Nasca, Wari, Lambayeque and Chimú, societies exhibited within a chronological journey in the museum.
This panoramic view of pre-Hispanic Peru shows that we are a country rich in history and traditions, seeking to diversify and decentralize the national and international tourist offer.
Our team has created a novel museum script that democratizes its reading and that takes archaeological information to all levels of the public, from children to adults. The broad nature of our history turned the museum's initiative into a program with three lines of work articulated by it, which include the large-scale dissemination of research through books and brochures, traveling exhibitions nationally and internationally, conferences and the important work of social projection in the Cusco area.
