Turkish Construction & Art Works Museum
The Turkish Museum of Construction and Art is a complex of walls (K lliye) of buildings, consisting of a garden, sebil (fountain), library, Islamic elementary school (S? Byan Mektebi), Islamic secondary school (medrese) and a large class (Dershane). It was built by Amkazade H. Seyin Pasha in 1644 - 1702 (his grave is in the garden). Today the complex serves as a museum, which displays tiles, wooden artifacts, tools, metal products and decorative wall and ceiling decorations (wood, plaster, mother of pearl and tortoise shell), reflecting the wonderful style of woodwork. Some of these works were organized as an open-air museum, including a garden between the library and the Seban school and a garden between the classroom and the rooms of the madrassah. In the garden there are minaret cones from the Fatih Mosque, column capitals, pools, inscriptions and architectural works. The tombstone section contains the grave of the architect Ayas. Unfortunately, the museum is currently closed for renovation. However, you can look through the fence and see the garden and the tomb.
