Src Museum of Indology
Acarya Ram Charan Sharma "Vyakul" founded the Indological Museum of the SRC in 1960. In the early 1950s, Acharia Vyakul began creating a collection of small folk art artifacts.On the ground floor there is one room to visit the museum and one gallery, which houses such important artifacts as the whole Bhagwat Gita, written on a tiny sheet of paper, Gayatri manta, written on strands of hair, a color map of India painted on rice grains. On the ground floor there are ancient astronomical instruments, utensils from England and other European countries.Rare artefacts in the museum include serpentology paintings, more than 15,000 manuscripts, illustrated and non-illustrated, written on paper, birch bark, palm leaves and cardamom, tantric art and alchemy-related herbs.
