Folklore Museum

The Folklore Museum is a private museum located on the shores of pristine Lake Gadsisar in Jaisalmer.The Jaisalmer Folklore Museum was founded in 1984 by local expert NK Sharma. The museum is a treasure trove of cultural heritage of the Tar Desert, people, their traditions and culture. You can understand the evolution of the city of Jaisalmer over the centuries by seeing the artifacts in this museum.The stunning architecture of the museum is one of the main events. The museum is organized into six sections and contains a rich collection of paintings, photographs, costumes, hairstyles and jewelry. Other exhibits include rural household items, camel and horse ornaments, fossils, decorative arches, and folk and cultural life articles. There are also various types of dolls and other traditional items.
