Jieyang Museum
Jieyang City Museum is a branch-level public welfare institution under the jurisdiction of Jieyang City Press, Publications, Culture, Radio, Film and Television Bureau, and the local universal museum. Its predecessor was the Jieyang County Museum, which was created with the approval of the government of Guangdong in 1958. The museum was located in the Jieyang Academy (Confucius Temple). It was officially opened to the public in August 1991, Jieyang was recalled from the county and founded in 1992, and then was transformed into the city of Jieyang. The museum moved to a temporary office on the second and fourth floors of the Jieyang building in October 2010. The main work of the museum includes the collection, research and demonstration of cultural relics, as well as the research, excavation, protection and collection of local historical relics, the promotion of local historical culture, the promotion of patriotism and the improvement of Jieyang's cultural taste.
