Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve «Hulbuk»
The main objective of the new exhibition of the museum - to imagine the architectural features and stages of historical development, a unique monument of the fortification and palace of art IX-X centuries - Hulbukskoy fortress and settlement, which was the capital of the state Khuttal. Exposure is deployed on an area of about 1400 sq. m and is an important addition to the architectural and archaeological sites represented in the reserve. The main and central hall of the museum is the Hall representing the elements of architectural and decorative details of buildings and palace Hulbuk and made on site finds of glass vessels, pottery, jewelry, stationery, coins and stamps, medical instruments. The museum is proud that it has the opportunity to exhibit outstanding works of art pottery and stone-cutters, decorative building elements made of alabaster, which were richly decorated walls of the palace, along with murals with images of soldiers and musicians. The city was built not only beautiful, but also comfortable: exposition tells about the complex heating systems, water supply and sewage systems that existed in the early medieval town. Part of the exhibition presents the history of the monument to study and submit its detailed layout. The first archaeological studies the town Hisht-Tep (in Tajik "Brick Hill") were made in 1952, and they are maintained to the present. The main part of the archaeological exposition successfully supplemented the materials on the ethnography and painting, allowing to see the depth of folk and art traditions of the indigenous population of Tajikistan.
