Ishibashi Museum
The Isibashi Cultural Center was donated to the city of Kurume in 1956 by Shojiro Ishibashi, the founder of Bridgestone Corporation, an honorary citizen. It is a complex cultural institution that has a huge garden with flowers such as roses and camellias that change with the seasons, the Kurume City Museum of Art, a music hall and a library. The garden, filled with flowers and greenery, is popular with many people as a place for recreation of citizens and as a basis for art and culture.
