In 1940, Carolina and Inés Amor founded the Galería de Arte Mexicano (GAM), the very first gallery, which displays only the Mexican art. GAM not only demonstrates the work of national figures such as Rufino Tamayo and Frida Kahlo, but seeks to support and promote young artists to show the importance of art.
