Musee Des Suisses Dans Le Monde
The museum's permanent exhibition traces the history of relations between Switzerland and the rest of the world from the Middle Ages to the present day. The course explains how Switzerland was built internationally, first through military service abroad. Emphasis is placed on the history of the Cent-Suisses regiment in the service of France and on the Pontifical Swiss Guard.
Rooms are also dedicated to architects (Carlo Fontana, Francesco Borromini), explorers (Auguste Piccard, Claude Nicollier), diplomats (Charles Pictet de Rochemont), financiers (Albert Gallatin, Jacques Necker), humanitarian workers (Henri Dunant, Louis-Lucien Rochat ) and artists (Marcello, Pradier).
