Museo y Parque Fernando Garcia

The Fernando García Park and Museum is one of the oldest institutions in the Carrasco neighborhood of Montevideo and belongs to the country's architectural and landscape cultural heritage. Its park with the chalet , the stables and garages together with thirty-two carriages constitute the main material heritage. It aspires to become a manifestation of new contemporary museological trends. To achieve this, it develops a task that has different aspects. On the one hand, the architectural and landscape heritage that constitutes it is valued, and on the other, it contains the objects that define it as the city's carriage and transport museum.
