Museo Zoologico Damaso Antonio Larranaga

The Dámaso Antonio Larrañaga Zoological Museum, also known as the Oceanographic Museum, is a zoological museum located in the Buceo neighborhood of Montevideo , Uruguay. In it, since 1956, numerous native fauna species have been exhibited, particularly those that due to environmental changes are in danger of extinction. Its function is mainly didactic, with activities and programs aimed at the dissemination of knowledge related to this sector of natural sciences. With some frequency it is visited by school groups.
