Museu da Catedral
Built at the beginning of the 18th century, the Catedral Basilica is considered the richest of all Portuguese-Brazilian Baroque art. Its internal and external lining is all in limestone, has two towers and wooden vaults on the ceiling. On its facade are found images of three Jesuit saints: Santo Inácio de Loyola, São Francisco Xavier (patron saint of Salvador) and São Francisco de Borja. The museum has a collection composed of pieces from the 16th and 20th centuries, furniture that escaped the plunder of the Dutch, stands out in the collection and pieces in silver and gold.
