Museum-diorama "Battle for the Dnieper River in the area of Pereyaslav-Khmelnytsky autumn of 1943" - the museum opened in 1975 in Pereyaslav-Khmelnytsky Kyiv region in the premises of the Cathedral of the Ascension, which has the status of an architectural monument of national importance. Inside the majestic Ascension Cathedral unfolded grand diorama that reproduces the main points of crossing the Dnieper in the night from 21 to 22 September 1943. Outstanding work of battle paintings created in the workshop of it. Grekov artists P. Maltsev and M. Prisekin. On the creation of a diorama, which includes the objective of the plan and of the canvas (length - 28 meters and height - 7 meters), the artists worked four and a half years.
