Museum of Journalism and Graphic Arts
Museum of Journalism and Graphic Arts opened in 1994 in an old two-storey mansion. In this building in 1792 the first edition of America's first Spanish-language El Despertador Americano independent newspaper was printed. The museum building is known in the city called "The House of the dogs", because the two large sculptures of dogs mounted on the roof, looking in different directions. The museum has a specialized library, an auditorium for up to eighty people and showrooms. The museum tells about the history of Mexican journalism and the development of graphic art.
