Museum of Science and Industry
Museum of Science and Industry, also known by the acronym MUMCI, devoted to the history of development of technical progress in Mexico. In addition to the permanent exhibition in the museum's café located halls, lecture halls and a cinema. The museum was inaugurated in the city of Toluca in 2009. One of the initiators of its creation was the President of the Republic Felipe Calderon. The museum building is a bizarre mix of classic colonial architecture and contemporary style. Part of the exhibition is located in the historic housing old brewery of the XIX century, which rises above the glass body of the new building. The museum's exhibits are divided into thematic sections devoted to brewing, manufacturing of glass, printing, cotton spinning, the mechanics. The building of the museum regularly holds lectures on the history of production in Mexico.
