Museum of the City of Recife - Forte das Cinco Pontas
Installed at Forte das Cinco Pontas in 1982, the Museum of the City of Recife houses a collection of iconographic documents of extreme importance for the preservation of Recife's urban, cultural and social history. There are more than 250 thousand images, 2,560 titles, among books and magazines, 1,898 digitized pieces, including maps, plants and architectural projects, 146 tiles from the 17th to the 19th centuries, three doors and two images of saints belonging to the Igreja dos Martírios, which it was demolished for the opening of Avenida Dantas Barreto. The Museum of the City of Recife is a space for visiting, researching and holding cultural events and activities. She is part of the Recife City Hall's Culture Department.
