The August 1 Nanchang Uprising Memorial was established in 1956 and officially opened to the public on October 1, 1959. Located at No.380, Zhongshan Road in Nanchang city of Jiangxi province, the August 1 Nanchang Uprising Memorial covers an area of 10,155 m2.
As ‘the first museum of Chinese military history’ that promotes and displays the birth, development, and growth of the People's Army, it has attracted tremendous much of the attention since its opening with many Proletarian Revolutionist of the older generation and Party and state leaders coming to visit and giving instructions.
