Napoleon Museum Thurgau
Arenenberg Palace is located at one of the most beautiful vantage points in the entire Lake Constance region. In 1816, Hortense de Beauharnais, stepdaughter of Napoleon I, chose it as her place of exile. She expanded the estate and furnished the magnificent drawing rooms and Salons with impeccable taste. Today, you can experience the world of Queen Hortense and her son Louis at the original location. Later, he became France’s last emperor as Napoleon III. The palace is surrounded by the sprawling Arenenberg Gardens.
