National Museum of Death located in the cultural part of the city of Aguascalientes in the territory of the Autonomous University. The museum is dedicated to the dissemination of subjects related to the theme of death in Mexico. These objects belong to the collection of Octavio Gil Bajonero writer, who donated them to the University. Octavio Gil Bajonero began his collection of objects that decorate their homes during the Mexican Day of the Dead. Over the years the collection is enriched with works of fine art Manuel Manilla, Jose Guadalupe Posada and Francisco Toledo. November 8, 2006 an agreement was signed between the Autonomous University and Octavio Gil Bajonero on the donation of works and the creation of the museum. June 19, 2007 in celebration of the 34th anniversary of the founding of the university opened National Museum of Death.
