Naval and Oceanographic Museum

The Naval Museum is part of the Cultural Complex of the Navy, formed by a circuit of museums and exhibitions, which also includes the Cultural Space of the Navy (ECM) and the Fiscal Island (IF).

The Directorate of Historical Patrimony and Documentation of the Navy (DPHDM) operates in the museum, whose mission is “to preserve and disseminate the historical and cultural heritage of the Navy, contributing to the conservation of its memory and the development of Brazilian maritime consciousness”.
