National Gallery of Modern Art
The National Gallery of Contemporary Art (NGMA) is a leading art gallery under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. The main museum at the Jaipur House in New Delhi was established on March 29, 1954 by the Government of India with subsequent branches in Mumbai and Bangalore. His collection of more than 1,700 works by 2,000 or more artists includes artists such as Thomas Daniel, Raja Ravi Verma, Abanindranath Tagore, Rabindranath Tagore, Gagandendranath Tagore, Nandalal Bose, Jamini Roy, Amrita Sher-Gil, and foreign artists. Some of the oldest surviving works date back to 1857.
