Nishinomiya Shell Museum
The museum was opened in Nishinomiyama in May 1999. The building, designed by architect Tadao Ando, built an appearance reminiscent of a sail yacht. It has a collection of 5,000 specimens of shells of 2,000 species. Exciting displays allow visitors to pick up shells to admire their beauty and hear the sounds they make.
