Dargaville Museum
The Dargaville Museum Te Whare Taonga o Tunatahi is a Maori, Maritime and Pioneer Museum, situated in Harding Park Pou Tu Te Rangi, overlooking Dargaville with magnificent views of the surrounding district including that of Mt Tutamoe, Northland's highest mountain, Toka Toka Peak, Maungaraho Rock and the Northern Wairoa River.

Exhibitions include: • Pioneer exhibits to enlighten the visitor on the life lived in this area including the history of the Gumdiggers with fine examples of Kauri Gum on display. • Maritime displays, including shipwrecks from our wild west coast, the Rainbow Warrior artifacts, ship models and Maritime paintings and much much more. • Collectors collections which includes Victor Eke’s transport models, a working model train set, interesting thimble, teapot and cameras colletions and an extensive world renown Accordion Collection including the Friedrich Collection. • Local Maori culture including Pounamu (greenstone) adzes and a very early Maori Pou and hand adzed 16m Totara Waka .
