Cusco is a fantastic place to inspire artists, and the Olave family is a good example, since in addition to the teacher Antonio Olave, his wife Avelina and his children Francisco, Lidia, Washington, Vito Moisés and María Josefina work with him.
His art is inspired by the colonial era of the 16th and 17th centuries, with a religious theme. His sculptural imagery does not reproduce the works of the colonial era but recreates them with a personal style.
His most famous works are the so-called Manuelitos in different positions, such as "el Dormidito", "el Sentadito" and "el de la Espina".
