Art and History of Judaism Museum
Museum of Art and History of Judaism, founded in 1998, tells the story of the formation of the Jewish community in France. The exhibition is located in the walls of the mansion of Saint-Aignan (l'Hôtel de Saint-Aignan), built in 1650. In 1986, the mayor of Paris, Jacques Chirac (b. 1932) passed a historic building of the Jewish Diaspora of the city. Primary collection was formed on the basis of collection of the museum of Cluny and Paris Museum of Jewish Art. Later the collection was replenished with exhibits from the collection of the Louvre and Pampidu center. Each of the 13 rooms of the museum dedicated to a different aspect of Jewish culture
