Museum of Art of Puerto Rico
The Puerto Rico Museum of Art (MAPR), cultural heritage of the Puerto Rican people, opened its doors in 2000 with the mission of enriching the lives of its diverse publics by making knowledge, appreciation, and enjoyment of the visual arts of Puerto Rico and the World. Since then, MAPR has received over 2 million visitors and has presented over one hundred exhibitions by local and international artists, multiple and varied workshops, courses, seminars, research and education programs, concerts, talks and symposia that have impacted audiences in all ages and have positively marked the lives of students, teachers, families and community members.
