The Swiss Chess Museum Association in the city of LUZERN has over 13,000 chess pieces, stamps, clocks, books and much more. It should be the largest public chess museum in the world. Hundreds of chess games are shown in approx. 20 showcases. In addition, you will learn about the origin of the chess game, types of games such as blind chess, chess and music, chess and numismatics, chess computers and much more. Museum visitors also have the opportunity to play a game of chess against other guests or the computer. The event room offers the opportunity to play chess tournaments with around 30 people, as well as space for collectors' exchanges, workshops and seminars. All chess libraries may be used on site, for example to replay games.
