Selim Sirri Pasa Mansion
The real name of Sırrı Pasha, who gave the mansion its name, is Selim. He belongs to a family known as Balcı Kenanoğulları in the town of Vidin. His father is Seyyit Bey and his mother is Pink Lady. He was born in Vidin in 1851. He completed his iptidaî and rüştî training in Vidin. Meanwhile, he lost his father. Later, Vidin entered the government department as a scribe; After a while, he came to Istanbul in the entourage of Hakkı Pasha, who was a governor in Vidin. He completed his education with his help and married Hakkı Pasha's nephew Melek. By entering the state service again, he rose to the letter office of Sivas and then to the central governor of Sivas. At the same time, he was appointed to the First General Road Works Mobile Inspector of the Ottoman State with a law that was put into practice. Upon his success, he was appointed as the governor of Izmit in 1888.
