The Sevsk Regional Museum
The exposition consists of three sections: nature, Sevsk antiquity, modern history. In the first section, a copy of the skeleton of a mammoth is displayed. In the second, materials are presented on the Sevsk fortress — the most important on the southern defensive lines of Russia in the 17th century, on the Sevsk regiment liberating Bulgaria in 1877–1878, and about the native of Sevsk — the rector of Moscow University Petrovsky, the writer Proskurin.
