Shivappanayka Palace is a popular attraction in Simoga. Located on the banks of the Tunga River, the palace was built of rosewood by Shivappa Nike of Keladi in the 16th century. Inside the palace is also a museum, which exhibits stone carvings and relics of the Keladis period.In the Shivappanayka Museum you can see an interesting collection of antiques, stone carvings, inscriptions and sculptures.
