State Museum of History of Uzbekistan
The museum preserves unique monuments of archeology, numismatics, ethnography, archival materials, with more than 250 thousand copies, as well as collections of documents, historical relics and works of art. A special place in the museum holds the world-famous stone sculpture of Buddha with two monks, called "Triad", found in 1969 in the town of Fayaztepa. This majestic and one of the unique exhibits, has come down to us from time immemorial. Large interest are the exhibits related to the epoch of Timurids. They illustrate the extraordinary flowering of medieval civilization, science, poetry, architecture, crafts, portrait miniatures and culture. This period shows us the bright, colorful wall panels, made of Uzbek artists Alisher Alimkulov in 2003.
