The Kahitsukan, Kyoto Museum of Contemporary Art
The Kahitsukan, Kyoto Museum of Contemporary Art тhis small, quiet museum (5 rooms) is a respite from the lively Gion and Shiho-dori, and is worth a visit if you are interested or intrigued by the work of the artists currently on display. There is a gallery of the lower level, which exhibited the work of Kyoto, a very talented ceramist Rosanjin Kitaoji. On the upper floors were exhibited works by contemporary painter Yoshida Katsu, which was advertised on the website, posters and cultural calendars. There is also an indoor garden on the top floor.
