The Krasnoufimsk museum of local lore
Krasnoufimsk Local History Museum, one of the oldest in the Urals, was created in 1912 by the Krasnoufimsky Zemstvo on the initiative of Zemstvo teachers to help students to demonstrate visual teaching aids, as well as to show old things that tell about the historical past of the inhabitants of the region.
Museum funds store information on the history of the region expressed in documentary, graphic, and clothing sources. In 1919, the museum of local lore received exhibits from the home museum of the noble family of the Golubtsovs, whose generations studied the problems of local history and played a big role in the spiritual life of our region.
The exposition consists of two departments: history and nature of the region. In the halls of the historical department there are material monuments, historical and everyday complexes telling about the eventful history of the region. The unique and amazingly beautiful nature of the surroundings of Krasnoufimsk and the diversity of flora and fauna are reflected in the exposition of the Department of Nature
